About the role
At Semtrix, Search means SEO and GEO from a single source – visibility in Google and in AI answer engines. And we don't have separate departments for on-page, editorial, and off-page work: as a Search Consultant, you manage your clients' projects holistically across every discipline, from strategy to execution. You are your clients' central point of contact.
Your responsibilities

Strategy & client leadership: You develop visibility roadmaps for your client portfolio and confidently present your recommendations – from the marketing team up to executive leadership
Technical SEO: You conduct audits (Screaming Frog, Google Search Console), prioritize fixes together with your clients' developers, and oversee implementation
Content & semantics: You create keyword and competitor analyses (Ahrefs, Sistrix, Semrush), plan editorial calendars, brief copywriters, and sign off on content for SEO and GEO
GEO: You analyze and optimize your clients' visibility in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and AI Overviews – structuring content so that AI systems choose it as a source
Off-page & authority: You plan link building initiatives, identify opportunities, and manage execution
Reporting & performance: You build meaningful reports, manage the relevant KPIs, and connect search data to your clients' business success: traffic → conversion → revenue
Shaping our work: You contribute to pre-audits for pitches, internal methodology, and knowledge-sharing with the Eskimoz Group
Your profile
Your Profile
Several years of hands-on SEO experience (agency, in-house, or freelance) – you've mastered technical, content, and off-page work, and want to manage all disciplines from a single source
Confident use of common tools: Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Sistrix or Semrush, GA4
Interest in GEO: you understand (or want to understand) how LLMs select their sources – initial GEO experience is a plus, not a must
Business mindset: you think in terms of conversions and client value, not keyword volume
Strong communication skills: you explain complex topics clearly and confidently defend your recommendations to clients
Excellent German skills, good English skills (for collaboration within the Eskimoz Group)
